Halloween

Halloween was so great this year because Easton was so excited and understood what trick or treating is all about. Easton has been so into Spiderman for some reason so he was thrilled to dress up like "Spiderman who helps people" which we taught him since he was trying to chase people {mainly Ally and Asher} with his mask on. We had to learn that Spiderman is nice not scary. Since Asher doesn't have a say yet in costumes, he was a spider.

We tried to get Easton to say, "check out these guns" but he kept forgetting...still cute though.

Bill kept making pirate faces but the rest of us look good. It is really hard to get a picture of Asher holding still!

Bill and Easton carved the pumpkins {Asher napped}.

We were lucky to spend Halloween with friends and family at the Jackman's home. Easton got to trick or treat with his best buddies and his cousin, Ellie, who was the cutest elephant I have ever seen! I absolutely love this picture!

This is a terrible picture of Blake but sadly, the best one we had! (: Easton is loving his loot of candy and so are we!

Scrumptious

This boy is so yummy, I just had to share. Asher is 8 months old and is crawling, pulling himself up, chasing me, Easton and Ally all day, he screams and roars, he has 6 teeth, loves to eat and loves his brother.

Easton's Summer

Easton has had such a great summer even though it is deathly hot! He is so busy, crazy, energetic, mischevious but lovey and cute which save his life most days.

  • He got to do swimming lessons and learned so much. It makes me feel better since he is so fearless with the water. He can hold his breath, come up for air, kick his feet, find the wall and hold on.

  • We went to the circus as a family and he loved it. He just stared and would clap and dance to the music.

  • Easton is potty trained and caught on so quickly. We sometimes have accidents when he is playing but usually no problems.

  • He is talking so much and says hilarious things. Like we have him sleep in big t-shirts sometimes and one night he looks down and says, "i a pretty princess" HA!

  • He loves to talk to Asher and talks to him in a high-pitch baby voice.

  • He likes to be in pictures and take pictures, thank goodness for digital cameras so I can delete all the not-so-great shots

  • Easton always wants me to paint hid toenails when I am doing mine. So he is wearing a bright shade of pink.

  • He likes to help Bill with the yard and pushes the lawnmower or uses the leaf blower

  • Loves just wearing his undies around the house

  • He wants to do things for himself, he says "my do it" for everything!

He is becoming such a big and independent boy but still is a cuddler and says to me "rock you" every night for bed. {of course I don't mind that at all}

Asher: 6 months

Asher is growing up so fast that it is kinda starting to scare me! He is such a sweet boy and is a big baby like his brother was. Easton loves Asher and the feeling is definitely mutual. Here is what he is up to now:

  • Asher weighs 19 lbs 9 oz (80%) and is 28 1/4 inches long (92%)

  • He sits up mostly by himself but still needs a pillow behind him

  • He is trying to crawl, he gets on his hands and knees and rocks or in push up position

  • He can lunge forward after something he really wants {like the computer}

  • Smiles for everyone but only laughs really good for Easton

  • Has the deepest blue eyes and blondish hair with the best colic in the front

  • Asher is eating solids 3 times a day and we are starting to give him some real foods which he loves

  • He has 2 teeth on the bottom and 2 poking thru on the top {I think I can see his other 2 on the top coming next}

  • He is starting to sleep thru the night, hurray!

  • Asher falls asleep really easily, no need to rock or anything. He likes to rub his face in his blanket and with a binkie he is out.

  • He babbles, making spitty noises, loves to slap the tile floor

  • When you put him in his bumbo or if you are holding him, he frantically trys to grab at anything near by to chew on

I just can't believe that he is already 6 months and we love him more and more each day. He is so busy and interested in the world and everyone around him. We love him so much and are so happy he is a part of our family.

Laughing boy

Asher will only laugh really good for Easton which I love! I secretly wish he laughed at me too but I think it is so great how much he loves his brother. This video shows exactly their relationship. I love how Easton keeps stopping to pose for a picture too, it is classic.

Family Pics

I can't believe it took me this long for new family pics, but I LOVE them! Really, can my boys be any cuter and my hubby any hotter? I mean, I am one lucky girl!

Thanks Tara for the pics! She does a great job, here is her link.

Easton Says...

This boy says some funny things and I just wanted to quickly write some of them down so I don't forget.

  • Whenever you tell him good job for something he says, "hug" LOVE that!

  • If he gets hurt, big or small, he says, "kiss it" and then after the kiss, "all better"

  • We were playing at the park and he wanted me to go down the slide. He waited at the bottom holding his hands close together like a cup almost and he says, " go mommy, I catch you"

  • He wants to do everything for himself and he says, "mine do it"

  • When we sing songs at bedtime, his request is always "b, c, f, g's" {abc's}

  • We are on day 2 of potty training, whenever I ask if he needs to go potty he says, " no, i good"

  • We were at Target and he wants to walk of course and Asher wants out of his carseat and so I am a little flustered trying to get everything I need. A nice lady commented that she knew how I felt and I said, " it's been one of those days" and Easton looked at the lady and said, " one of those days" HA! Really!

  • He asks, "doing?" about EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING! " Dirt doing? grass doing? Asher doing?" And then it goes into "going?" Oh man...

  • If he is throwing a fit and I tell him he needs to be happy to do whatever, when he calms down he says, "happy now"

The list goes on and on. Easton gives me a run for my money. He will push and test me on pretty much everything I ask him to do all day long. He used to take naps and go to bed easy but he is pushing back there too. Sheesh! (: But then he gives hugs and kisses a lot so that makes up for it! Plus he is so dang cute!

Crazy Easton

This kid wants to wants to do everything his way and loves to try everything. He started saying " I do it" or "Easton do it" this week and he means it. He wants to do everything for himself.

We have done swim lessons this summer and he cried for the 1st week but loved the other 3 weeks of them. He had a great teacher who made him work hard but he got to play a lot too. He loved it and would talk about it all day.

Easton is such a great big brother to Asher. He always wants to know where he is and what he is doing. When we go to get him out of his crib, Easton says "morning Asher, long nap" in like a sweet but high pitch voice. It is so funny.

Easton copies pretty much everything that you say and is talking more and more. He asks "what doing" about anything that he sees. If we are reading a book, he asks what each thing on the page is doing. If we are watching a movie, he asks "what buzz doing" or anything else. Curious kiddo.

He likes to test what he can get away with which can get very tiring for mommy. So I have to say extra prayers these days to keep up with him and be consistent.

He loves going to playgrounds and splash pads to play with other kids. He loves to play with older kids and especially being chased or chasing other kids.

He LOVES his dad, Ally, chocolate milk, his blanket, Toy Story, his bike, wearing goggles, playing outside and gum.

Asher: 4 months

I am behind again but oh well. My kids are growing like weeds and keep me so busy I can't even think!

Asher is getting to be such a big but happy and smiley kid. Here is what he is up to now:

  • Asher weighs 16lbs, 13oz which is 75th percentile and is 26 1/2 inches tall which is 90th percentile for height. He has a big ol' head like his brother in the 98th percentile.

  • He LOVES to be held and carried around on my hip. It looks really uncomfortable but he is in heaven and will hang out like that all day.

  • He started to roll but hasn't figured out how to continually roll. He just flips on his stomach and back to his back.

  • He prefers to sleep on his side now. He will roll over as soon as I lay him in his crib.

  • Asher sleeps through most of the night. He wakes up at about 4:30 or 5 every morning but will go back to sleep after eating until about 8. {makes for a much happier mommy}

  • He is such a smiley boy. Asher just grins from ear to ear whenever someone talks to him.

  • He LOVES Easton, his binkie, crinkly noises, mom's milk, bathtime

  • We started rice cereal but isn't a big fan yet.

We love this boy and I feel like he is growing up so fast! He is so sweet and knows exactly what he likes and wants.

Asher

Asher is almost 3 months already and is quickly turning into such a happy baby. Here is what he has been up to:

  • I think he has grown out of his reflux but milk is still a no-no for me

  • He smiles all the time since about 9 weeks

  • He started laughing yesterday at 11 weeks

  • He has the cutest head of chicken hair and a sweet cow lick... {i know that is the wrong spelling but I like it}

  • I think he weighs about 15 pounds

  • Usually only cat naps during the day

  • Sleeps through the night since about 10 weeks {6 hours}

  • LOVES to watch Easton

  • LOVES bathtime

  • Kicks his feet like crazy and works up spit bubbles the whole time

  • Isn't a fan of tummy time

  • His neck is getting strong and can almost sit in his bumbo

He is such a sweet boy and we love him so much. Easton always says to him, "hey stinker" and my heart melts for these boys!

Easter

We had such a fun Easter filled with our wonderful family. We are so lucky to have the majority of our families in town {we miss you KelKel and Josh}.

On Friday my mom came over to dye eggs and we made festive cupcakes. Easton learned the best part of baking.

Easton loves when people come over to play with him. There was some wicked wind which made for great kite flying.

And I made all of the adults participate in the egg hunt which was fun and I had sweet prizes. (: We had to have Easton hurry since his aunts and uncles were his competition.

Cactus encounters

We went to the Tempe Historical Museum with Meagan and Ella yesterday for some good, educational and free fun. It is a cute museum with a good play area for the kiddos. Well, we are leaving and I am feeling like an awesome mom for planning a fun day when Easton trips right over one of these.

There was another cactus right next to it that, thankfully, his face just brushed. Literally SOOO close to his eye. I am so glad that Meagan was there with me. We scooped him up and together quickly pulled 5-6 thorns out of his legs and more in his bum. His diaper protected his bum but his poor legs took a beating. These go all the way up his leg.

These pics are from today so they look bad but nothing like yesterday. The poor guy was bleeding everywhere... whew!

Asher's Blessing

We were able to bless Asher on Sunday and it was such a special day. It was the perfect ending to a great weekend, Alex and Brittini were sealed as a family to Ellie on Saturday and so most of Nancy's family were in town. Perfect timing to bless Asher.

We are so grateful for the love and support that we feel from our family and friends. Asher is such a sweet boy and we love him so much. I can't describe how blessed I feel to be the momma to these boys. I mean look at those faces... so yummy! {okay so they both look a little funny in this picture but I still love it}

Gallop and Fireworks

Easton has this funny new gallop when he runs. It is pretty cute! AND... believe it or not my boy loves fireworks! Yep, the son of Bill May with the middle name Danger loves something else loud. These are just poppers but you get the point.

My boys

Time is flying by and I am tired! Whew! Having 2 kids is a major adjustment but I think that we are back into our regular swing of things... just everything takes me twice as long.

Asher is 6 weeks old now and is starting to have happier days with his reflux. Not sure what changed but the past 2 days have been better. He even started smiling and cooing. He is about 12 pounds already and I think he is really long. His arms are too long for every shirt I put him in. I think that he will have blue eyes and his hair is getting darker from the strawberry blonde.

Easton is such a sweet big brother. He loves to give hugs and kisses to everyone especially Asher. He always wants to know where Asher he says, " Go, Asher, Go?" When he gives Asher hugs he goes, " ahhh". It is so funny. He copies everything that we say, so we have to be careful.

We are still bathing the boys together and they both love bathtime! This is a funny video, but warning it contains bathtime weiners. HA! I just laughed typing that!

Bill and Easton went to a spring training game with his Bompa {Bill's dad} this week and had a lot of fun.

We had family fun at Costco and Easton loved his hot dog.

Easton turned 2!

Easton's birthday was a couple weeks ago and we had a great party on his special day! He is such a fun loving boy and was so excited to have all his grandparents and family at his house to play. He ran around from person to person showing them his new toys and had so much fun!

It was a turtle themed party since he LOVES turtles and I even found a turtle pinata. It was a tough one to break and Bill had to bust it open so the kiddos could have the treats.
This picture is awesome, the boys trying to break it with Nick's help and my mom's expression in the background... classic!
Check out my cake making skills... and Bill didn't drop the cake this year. I guess wearing a helmet for cake time is a necessity when you are 2.

First Week at Home

Asher has been such a great baby so far. He sleeps through everything even Easton's yelling and playing. He has the greatest colics in his hair and looks just like me when I was a baby. At first I was sad that he didn't look like Easton but now I love that he is so different. Asher burps like a man and loved his first bath.

He is definitely a cuddlebug and I hope it will last past the newborn stage like it did with Easton.

Easton is such a sweet big brother. He always wants Asher around and gives him kisses. He wants Asher to lay in bed with him or be in the bath together.
